一口 Yikou has no accounts, advertising, analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking. Learning progress and preferences are kept in local browser storage. Network providers may process the technical request information needed to deliver the service, as described below.
When you actively start speaking practice, the iOS app uses the microphone and Apple Speech recognition to transcribe the Chinese phrase you say. Depending on your device, operating-system settings, language, and availability, Apple may process recognition on the device or on its servers. The web version may use speech recognition supplied by your browser. Yikou does not retain the microphone recording or send it to a Yikou-operated storage service. The transcript is used in the current session to show character-level pronunciation feedback.
When you tap a listen (听) button, Yikou first tries a pre-generated audio file. If one is not available, the Chinese lesson text may be sent to the Yikou audio endpoint, which requests synthesized speech from a text-to-speech provider and may cache the resulting audio. Yikou does not include your spoken audio or a user account identifier in this request.
The app loads its learning interface and media over the internet from Cloudflare-hosted services. As with ordinary web delivery, the hosting provider may process information such as IP address, device or browser information, requested URL, and request time for delivery, security, and reliability. Yikou does not use this information to build advertising profiles.
Your interface-language choice, learning progress, streak, daily-task state, mistake-review schedule, favorites, and display preferences are stored locally on your device. Yikou does not send these records to a Yikou account or cloud-sync service. Clearing the app or browser storage may remove them.
Yikou does not knowingly create user profiles for children or collect information through accounts, ads, or analytics SDKs.
